Imagine...

Our generation is very fortunate, it's the first generation where people can find people from all over the world and start chatting in seconds.

If things keep evolving this way, in a near future everyone will be only a few clicks away from anyone else, and this will certainly change the world.

"Imagine all the people Sharing all the world..." (John Lennon, 1971)

  1. I agree that there are good things about what technology has allowed us to do but I also think there is a big downside. Because the speed of communication has accelerated, so has our lives.
When letters were the only way to interact by distance, people had time to mull things over and life was less stressful. Now when we get an urgent e-mail we must respond right away. And of course we get barraged with these on a daily basis (at least I do).
I've gotten to the point now I don't even answer my phone because I figure if it that important, people will leave a message and I can respond after I finish my dinner. And as for ever owning a cell phone? Unlikely! Maybe the fact that people can communicate with me so quickly and easily now has made me more antisocial...hmmm.
I think time for ourselves to reflect and think about things is so important and I find that I am less able to do this in this fast age.
